The End

Here is my final reflection and blog post of my Senior Project. I will probably go over some topics and ideas that I briefly touched upon in previous posts. The first thing I wanted to talk about was my inspiration for this project. As I mentioned earlier, me and Quinn decided to continue working on Estim8 because we enjoyed it during the fall. In the fall, we were both enrolled in an Entrepreneurial Studies class that our school offers. We were tasked with finding a problem in our lives that we could find a solution for. Because me and Quinn are high school students at a school that gives a lot of homework and major assignments, me and Quinn both knew how important but difficult time management is. We wanted to create something to improve students’ ability to manage time.

In my opinion, a lot went well with the project and working with Paragon. Together, me and Quinn were able to create our business plan, our app design, our app functionality, our acquisition funnel, and much more. I’m glad we were able to get all of this done because we worked hard and realized every goal we set out to accomplish when we agreed to work on this project. In all honesty, when I first started working at Paragon with Quinn and Mr. Ours, I did not have any expectations or essential questions I wanted to answer or learn through my experience. However, through the different struggles of working through the logistics of our business plan and the meetings I sat in on (mentioned in previous blogs), I was able to learn more about the nuances of the hiring process, the sales, and the finances of running and managing a business.

There was not much lacking in the work we did, but there was a long struggle with working out our expenses and potential earnings. We were not sure of the different people we would need to hire and the salaries we would have to give them. However, me and Quinn buckled down, and we are very close to finding a plausible, accurate financial report to pitch along with our business plan.

I’m extremely grateful for the help and advice Mr. Ours gave me and Quinn consistently throughout this project.  Without his guidance, me and Quinn would not have made nearly as much progress as we did.

Overall, I’m extremely glad I was able to participate in our Senior Project. Even though I was a little slow to upload all of my blogs on time (my bad about those), this project really helped me stay productive on something I really care about without the stress of being in  school.
